MARKETING& OUTREACHSPECIALIST Job Description The Marketing & Outreach Specialist for the Mississippi Main Street Association is responsible for coordinating the statewide marketingcommunication ,and outreach efforts of the organization for our target audiences, which include Main Street members ,investors, partners ,legislators,municipal officialsmedia, and the publicThe Marketing& Outreach Specialist reports to the Executive DirectorDuties and ResponsibilitiesInternal CommunicationCoordinate communication efforts among MMSA staff,Board of Directors, MMSA Members and other stakeholders.External CommunicationPromoteMMSAto our target audiences. This mayinclude but is not limited toemail marketing,press releases,print and digitaladvertising,television and radio, conference and training information,fundraisingmaterials, and featurestoriesfor various media.MarketingPositively market MMSA toallexisting programs, partners,andinvestors as well as all other parties through an annual, streamlined marketingandbranding plan. Evaluate this plan annually with staff and board and update asneeded.Researchand managemarketing items that would be helpful ineducation,advocacy and investor relations.Outreach-Work todevelopnew members, investors, and partners(createprospectlists, set up meetings,visit current investors or prospects and deliver MMSAmarketing materials,etc.).Websitecontentmanagement (www.msmainstreet.com).Report generator management.Work with Staff on the collection and disseminationof ROI Data.Social mediaand videocontentmanagement (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,YouTube, etc.).Advertising-Coordinatead creationfor MMSAas well ascooperative advertisingopportunitiesfor Main Street members
Job Posting Information Overview Founded in 1984, the Mississippi Main Street Association is a 501(c)(3) non - profit organization that serves as Mississippi’s statewide coordinating program for Main Street America. The mission of the Mississippi Main Street Association is to serve as the catalyst for the preservation and economic revitalization of Mississippi’s historic downtowns and traditional commercial districts. Salary and Benefits This is a full - time, exempt positio n . MMSA offers excellent benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, a 3% employee match retirement plan, and the ability to earn the Main Street America Academy credential. Other benefits include 10 paid holidays and paid personal and medical leave. In addition, a monthly stipend is available to offset home office expenses.
