Description:
This award is given for extraordinary service, marked distinction and sustained excellence to the field of economic development. The recipient must exhibit extreme professional competence, consistent collegiality with his or her peers, and the highest degree of integrity both at work and in the community. Recipient will have gone beyond the norm in the input of time, energy and resources to further the goals of economic development in Mississippi and to bring honor to their profession in general.
Eligible Recipients:
Any public or private sector individual that supports or works in the field of economic development in the State of Mississippi.
Nomination Process:
Any employee of the MDA or member of the economic development community at large can submit names of potential nominees to any MDA Division Director for consideration.
MDA Division Directors will select and submit the name of one nominee to the MDA Executive Director no later than January 22nd. Nominations to include written attributes of the nominee and the primary reason they should be selected for the award. The selection committee and the award venue are at the discretion of the MDA Executive Director. The recipient is to be awarded in a public setting among an audience of their peers.
The award will be presented at the MEDC 2019 Awards Luncheon, February 7, 2019 at the Westin Hotel in Jackson, MS.
