This webinar will explore the wide range of services and resources including the recently launched supply chain tool Connex Mississippi and information about the site master planning services offered through Mississippi State University CAVSE Extension that can directly impact economic developers across the state.
Connex Mississippi is an online manufacturing platform that connects all U.S. manufacturers & suppliers into a single, accurate, searchable supply-chain solutions! This platform connects over 160,000 U.S. manufacturers and suppliers based on manufacturing capabilities.
Site Master Planning (SMP) is an approach for assisting manufactures with developing facility plans that are consistent with the company’s strategic plan. Through the use of 3D Laser Scanning technology, CAVS Extension provides scanning solutions that create high-definition point-cloud data of buildings that can be analyzed for renovations, additions, manufacturing process improvements and production line redesigns. In addition, the technology provides the opportunity to capture the current condition (floor plan, utility condition, elevation, etc.) of existing facilities and make this data available to companies interested in leasing or buying available property so they can virtually “see” the space and easily evaluate it against their spatial needs.
